Gra in the Irish language means love. We are an Irish family business who want to share our love of rural Galicia with our guests.
Our Casita in Lugo sits in its own garden in a small community of six houses in the heart of the Galician countryside. For guests looking for a peaceful retreat, to be surrounded by nature, an ideal position to sit and watch the sun go down, this is the perfect place for you.
There are a range of stunning circular walks in the area, from 1.5km to 15km, depending on how you feel, it’s wonderful to cycle too. Just a short drive away, in any direction, you will find towns with river walks and plenty of cafes. The cities and beaches are close for a day trip, we really are in the center of a wonderful place – come and enjoy Lugo

The garden is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, there is such a magical feeling its difficut to describe. Having spent the afternoon in the hammock, eating dinner on the patio, its wonderful to watch the sunset over the lush green fields…..and maybe an evening sitting by the firepit…..

Or maybe you’d prefer to snooze on one of the many sandy beaches, picnic lunch by a waterfall, read a book in the lush green fields – there is literally too much to write about – you’ll just have to visit!
Where is Galicia?
Spain is a large country with very different regions, La Casita is situated in the province of Lugo, North West of Galicia – North West of Spain – and is, as yet, an undiscovered magnificent coastline with sandy beaches and lush green rural areas. It is called ‘The Green Belt’ as it does rain in Galicia, but a few days of rain in between hot sunny days are not a problem if you are a lover of lush green landscapes everywhere! With their own official language alongside Spanish, the Galician people love their traditions and sharing their stories and cooking; they are very open and friendly people, kind and helpful.

This is the second time I’ve stayed over, and I know there will be many more. A charming place, it’s just magical!! I was born in Lugo and lived there until my teens, and after my parents sold the house I found La Casita to be able to return to my hometown. And I can assure that this accommodation makes you feel at home for sure!! It’s pet friendly (Trufa, our Weimaraner dog loved it). It’s at a perfect distance from Lugo city and the beach. It has a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable sofa, TV, a fireplace, spacious bathroom, and the bed is like sleeping on a cloud. Heavenly❤️ The best thing is the huge garden with many areas where you can relax, also, at night, the garden lights up with ambient lights. Waking up without the noise of the city also is a sweet deal if you ask me. Oh! Can’t forget, that above all, the host are so kind, sweet, and attentive to everything.
The place was beautiful and scenic, ideal for a break. We loved the area and will definitely go again.Very restful and peaceful. Ideal for an escape!
La Casita is equipped with everything you need, from4 different types of coffee makers to a selection of pillows – soft to firm! The bed is incredibly comfortable, the shower is large and spacious, as is the bathroom. In fact the whole house is much bigger than it seems in the photos. But the best part is the garden, its incredible, a real zen feeling, magícal, quiet and the feeling of peace helps you to complely relax, espically when having a siesta in the hammock, just wonderul.
